Founded 20 years ago by Rabbi Sruly and Ruchi Koval, JFX serves a growing and diverse community seeking meaningful engagement with Judaism.
Position Overview:
JFX is seeking a Director of Operations to oversee the day-to-day management of financial operations, facilities, human resources, and programming. This key leadership role will work closely with the Managing Directors and staff to ensure operational efficiency and the ongoing growth of the organization.
Responsibilities:
· Manage financial operations, including budgeting, reporting, and overseeing accounting functions.
· Supervise facilities and property management, ensuring compliance and smooth operations.
· Lead human resources functions, including staffing, performance management, and policy development.
· Support fundraising initiatives and oversee and implement the planning of key events, including High Holidays.
· Oversee administration, marketing, communications, and technology operations.
· Collaborate with clergy, staff, and Board leadership to implement the organization’s vision and strategy.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred).
· 7+ years of management experience in non-profit or corporate settings.
· Expertise in financial management and budgeting.
· Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
· Experience with synagogue management and fundraising is a plus.
· Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.
