The Synagogue Manager is an integral part of Temple Beth El of Williamsburg (TBE-W). He or she will work collaboratively with other professionals and volunteers in the organization to ensure the synagogue can achieve its vision, mission, and strategy.
Responsibilities
- Support the Rabbi, Board of Directors, committee chairs, and other synagogue staff members for the effective day-to-day operation of the synagogue's administration, activities, and premises
- Greet synagogue visitors during office hours (9am-3:30pm, Tuesday-Friday)
- Communicate with members, prospective members, and external vendors and contractors
- Attend board meetings on a monthly basis
- Coordinate security coverage for services and events
- Maintain the variety of records required for synagogue business
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work
- Knowledge of Jewish practice preferred
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
