PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Marketing Manager plays an important role in the Brand and Marketing Department at the national headquarters of ADL. This individual will be a key member of the Engagement Marketing team, reporting to the Director of Marketing, responsible for marketing efforts to broaden ADL’s footprint and amplify our story and impact. This role will support department initiatives including events, strategic partnerships and special projects that increase brand awareness and engagement. A key focus will be collaborating with the Director of Marketing and external partners to create and implement an integrated marketing, advertising and promotion strategy for Never Is Now, ADL's Annual Summit on Antisemitism and Hate (held in March in NY).
Responsibilities
Primary:
- Overall responsibility for the development and implementation of marketing strategies and campaigns for ADL engagement projects including external partnerships and ADL’s Never Is Now Annual Summit.
- Manage external partners/agencies on all work related to Never Is Now, including strategy, campaign development, creative reviews, paid media plan, scheduling, budgets and implementation
- Collaborate with internal ADL departments to utilize new and existing external partnerships and initiatives to increase brand awareness and engagement
- Support VP, Brand & Marketing and Marketing Director on sports and entertainment industry partnerships
- Develop targeted marketing strategies and collateral, rooted in data and insights, to best achieve KPIs
- Partner with other members of the Brand & Marketing team, including but not limited to Engagement Marketing Manager, Content Strategy Team and Email and Online Fundraising Manager, to develop and execute holistic marketing plans
- Provide brand expertise and knowledge of project needs to guide agencies’ and internal partners’ work
- Represent advertising agency work in event meetings to ensure alignment with team members, stakeholders and third-party partners
- Keep projects on track and facilitate efficient and effective project completion gathering feedback and finding consensus, working with internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to Growth/Development, Social, Communications, Regional Offices, Executives and subject matter experts
Secondary:
- Identify new opportunities to increase engagement with ADL supporters and event attendees and manage said projects as they arise
- Support strategy and implementation for custom event programming and operations including creative concepting and use of event tools
- Provide timely updates on current projects, deadlines and partner status’ and represent agencies’ work to the larger Never Is Now working teams
- Establish and track KPIs to ensure success of all project goals
- Track and manage budgets of assigned projects

Skills
- Experience developing and executing marketing campaigns
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical and rapid problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage external partners and multiple internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborative attitude and sense of teamwork
- Work independently regarding decision-making, project initiation and completion
- Strong project management skills and excellent attention to detail while also maintaining big picture
- Technical expertise in PowerPoint and Excel and familiarity with managing a budget
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and deliver high-quality results
- Comfort building relationships with and collaborating with colleagues remotely across the country essential
- Highly proficient with technology; eager and capable of learning new software and systems required

Work Experience:
- The ideal candidate has significant experience with demonstrable increases in responsibility, skill, and leadership in a marketing role.
- Previous management experience of a vendor and/or agency required.
- Previous program or event marketing experience required.
- Experience developing and executing marketing campaigns required.
- Experience with advertising and media buying preferred.
- Experience at an advertising or creative agency, marketing, entertainment, or media company preferred.
Education:
- BA/BS or equivalent experience required. Prefer degree in a related field (e.g., Marketing/Communications/Public Relations/Advertising/Events)
Work Environment:
- ADL is a hybrid environment; this role may require 3 days in the office.
Compensation:
- This position has a salary range of $66,000 to $90,000. This salary range is reflective of a position based in New York, New York. Please note that actual salaries are commensurate with experience and reflect the budget for a given position, and since ADL has a location-based compensation structure, there may be a different range for candidates in other locations.
