Overview: Temple Beth Am is a vibrant Refrom synagogue serving over 500 families in Northern Palm Beach County. We are seeking a Director of Programming and Membership Engagement with a deep commitment to Jewish values to help us foster engagement and enhance our member experience. The ideal candidate will be creative and organized, with a desire to create meaningful Jewish experiences for our community.
Responsibilities:
Program Development:
- Oversee the planning and execution of Temple events and programs including holidays, adult education, guest speakers, and social programming.
- Collaborate with clergy, committees, and staff to develop and maintain a calendar of events that furthers the synagogue’s mission and goals.
- Support the programming of our religious school, preschool, and auxiliaries
- Work closely with Marketing Director to ensure communication and marketing of programs.
Membership Engagement:
- Create and implement on-boarding program for new members.
- Coordinate with Executive Director to connect with potential members and create programs for community outreach.
- Foster a sense of belonging and connection among members through communications, personal outreach, and community-building activities.
- Organize volunteer opportunities to engage members in synagogue life.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Strong familiarity with Jewish calendar and traditions.
- 2+ years experience in synagogue work or non profit.
- Strong organization and interpersonal skills
- Team oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Creative Thinker
- Comfortable with technology
- Ability to work High Holy Days. Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed for events and programs.

Compensation: $62k-$85k
