Position: Advocacy and Education Coordinator: Israel and Antisemitism

Full Time, On-site position with local travel expected
Mission Statement:
The Jewish Federation of New Hampshire (JFNH) is a statewide organization that connects and engages the wider Jewish community of New Hampshire through meaningful local, regional, and statewide activities.
JFNH advocates for the interests of the Jewish community locally and in Israel, raises and allocates resources to enable a thriving and safe Jewish New Hampshire, and partners with the state’s synagogues to enhance and expand Jewish life throughout the state.
Position Overview:
Jewish Federation of New Hampshire (JFNH) is committed to elevating Israel education, antisemitism awareness, and advocacy throughout New Hampshire. JFNH is seeking an Advocacy and Education Coordinator to play a leading role in implementing these organizational priorities. This person will develop and implement a comprehensive program plan that addresses deepening understanding of the State of Israel, responding to antisemitism and anti-Zionism.
Responsibilities:
· Plans, supports, and runs a diverse range of high-quality Israel education and engagement programs across New Hampshire, while developing initiatives to educate the community about Israel and combat antisemitism.
· Supervises Shlichut (Israeli Emissary) Program.
· Manages Jewish Federation of New Hampshire’s Momentum program.
· Monitors local, regional, and statewide (including the NH Statehouse) activities related to Jewish issues, Israel, and antisemitism.
· Responds to antisemitic incidents, in collaboration with JFNH’s Executive Director, and develop communication to community leaders, affected communities and media.
· Manages the logistics for multiple programs and projects, including identifying participants, developing and creating promotional materials, handling registrations, and ensuring all materials are prepared in advance. Supports marketing efforts to promote the Federation's work in Israel and antisemitism awareness.
· Research incidents of antisemitism and anti-Zionism to inform strategic responses and educational programming.
· Responsible for social media communication related to job description responsibilities.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience required.
· Strong understanding of current affairs relevant to the Jewish community, including topics such as Israel and antisemitism.
· Demonstrated organizational skills, with attention to detail and proven ability to manage a complex schedule requiring statewide travel and event planning.
· Effective project management skills to oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously.
· Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace is required. Experience with Canva is a plus.
Work Environment and Hours
· Position requires working many Sundays and occasional evenings. The standard schedule is Sunday through Thursday, with occasional flexibility.
· This position requires regular driving to various sites throughout New Hampshire. A reliable car is essential for weekly travel.
