The JCC is looking for an enthusiastic candidate with a measurable record of accomplishment and knowledge of Development, or similar (e.g. sales), systems and processes to help achieve or exceed our goals. Under the direction of the Director, Giving and Events the Development Coordinator is responsible for coordinating major fundraising events and supporting Development Operations. Our Development Coordinator position is a crucial member of our dynamic Development team, performing general transactional day-to-day development operations in a manner that maintains a productive workflow and provides vital services to the development team. This positions supports the department in all aspects of its operations, providing quality administrative support with a keen attention to detail, a warm and welcoming presence, agility and a continuous improvement approach. Deploying a balance of flexibility, graciousness, results orientation, initiative, and discipline, the Development Coordinator focuses on JCC Greater Boston's fundraising events ensuring all event details including, but not limited to: database management, seating, logistics, nametags, designing of materials, etc. occur timely and effectively. The Development Coordinator also allocates a percentage of their time to the CDO and CEO, supporting Board of Trustee meetings and governance logistics.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with, learn from, and support a dynamic, experienced team, providing excellent growth opportunities and a chance to make impactful contributions to an active Development Team. Experience, skill set, area of interest, adept knowledge, and other strengths will determine project assignments. Projects could include proposal and grant writing, donor research, development marketing for events, board and committee materials, putting into place new systems and process for development files.

This is a full-time, 40 hour per week, non-exempt position eligible for overtime. Offering a comprehensive benefits package, a supportive work environment and a competitive starting pay rate of $21.00 - $23.00 per hour. The pay rate offered will ultimately be determined by relevant qualifications, experience, and JCC's internal equity.

Requirements
Education and Experience: Requires a Bachelor's degree and two or more years of experience in fundraising, sales, or other customer service-oriented administrative work. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted at the JCC's discretion to meet minimum criteria.
Skills and Abilities include and are not limited to:
- Must have strong competency in Microsoft Office Suite programs, particularly Excel; experience with Canva, Salesforce, and online fundraising event platforms is a plus.

Physical Requirements: Able to work well in a busy, dynamic and sometimes noisy environment involving multiple tasks and priorities. This position primarily involves standard deskwork; work is performed in an office environment with no extreme conditions. Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods.
