Marketing Manager Hillels of Georgia Role Overview
Hillels of Georgia is seeking a creative and experienced marketing professional to become its next Marketing Manager in Atlanta, Georgia. The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing Hillel’s public image and helping to advance the organization’s mission and activities by supporting all marketing, promotions, publicity, media relations, direct mail, digital marketing, social media, collateral production, and brand cohesion. The Marketing Manager will also support and assist with Hillels of Georgia’s fundraising and development efforts and will report directly to the Chief Development Officer.
What You’ll Do
- Create and execute a robust marketing and communications strategy for Hillels of Georgia and affiliated campus Hillels
- Manage the planning and development of collateral materials supporting Hillels of Georgia’s vision, mission, and activities, including development and donor stewardship
- Prepare regular e-newsletters, mass emails for stewardship and appeals, and manage the mass email system (Constant Contact)
- Coordinate mailings and other communications
- Manage Hillels of Georgia’s social media platforms
- Maintain and update Hillels of Georgia’s websites and online forms
- Create, sustain, and innovate brand cohesion
- Design and source Hillels of Georgia swag, and supervise production of campus swag
- Assist with collateral and copy writing for campus and state-wide programs as needed
- When appropriate, serve as the liaison with community partners and the media
- Support development and special events efforts
- Identify audience for marketing materials using CRM database (Little Green Light)
- Source and edit blogs, student written testimonials, and student videos to assist in appeals and storytelling
- Identify other opportunities for marketing and communications support
- Stay up-to-date with nonprofit marketing trends and best practices
What You’ll Bring to the Job
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Communications or a related field preferred but not required
- 3+ years experience in marketing and communications, preferably in the non-profit sector
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills
- Must enjoy participating in a collaborative team and possess the ability to work with a diverse group of professionals and community members
- Expert in Canva or other graphic design software
- Ability to learn CRM software, with a preference of someone who has used a CRM
- Experience with mass email system, preferably Constant Contact
- Basic foundation in Wix preferred
- Knowledge of, respect for, and ability to articulate the Jewish faith, culture, and tradition with a commitment to Hillel’s mission and values
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, do-it-yourself environment
- The capacity to multitask and manage multiple projects and assignments, often with competing deadlines
What You’ll Receive
- Competitive salary in the nonprofit marketplace. The salary range for this position is $65,000-$75,000.
