General Studies Resource Teacher Beginning August 2024 (Full Time)

Hillel Torah North Suburban Day School, located in Skokie, Illinois, is seeking a qualified and professional Resource Teacher to join our Student Services team for the 2024-2025 school year.

The General Studies Resource Teacher will provide support in Math, Reading, and Writing for students in grades 3-4. Our resource teachers are responsible for leading small group interventions as well as providing push-in support within the general education classroom setting. In this role, the resource teacher will work closely with the grade-level lead teacher, assistant teacher, school social worker, school administration, and parents to meet the academic needs of all their students.

The ideal candidate is a warm and nurturing educator with a creative, progressive, student-centered, and academically engaging teaching style.

Qualifications:

Degree in education and/or special education (Bachelors or higher)
LBS1 and/or Reading Specialist certification from Illinois State Board of Education (preferred)
Experience teaching (preferred)
