Position: Communications Marketing Specialist

Compensation: $23.50-$26.50 per hour; Generous benefits package including Medical, Dental & Retirement

Hours: Full Time Hourly, Non-Exempt. Some occasional evenings and weekends required

About the Role:

Congregation Neveh Shalom is looking for a Communications Marketing Specialist to spearhead marketing efforts that align with our mission and serve our community of over 850 families and the wider Jewish community. This position involves designing and implementing print, digital, and social media campaigns, ensuring brand consistency, and supporting congregation events and programs.

The Communications Marketing Specialist will develop media strategies, craft impactful messaging, and manage the synagogue’s communication channels. In line with our recently completed long-range plan, a strong focus will be on leveraging current and emerging technologies to enhance the reach and effectiveness of our marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute marketing and communication materials and strategies.
Oversee branding, social media, website, and print collateral as the primary communications hub.
Manage and update website, community calendars, email lists, and social media channels; maintain media relations and oversee press releases.
Coordinate marketing materials, including newsletters, bulletins, flyers, press releases, and online content.
Collaborate with clergy, leadership, and staff on Bar/Bat Mitzvah programs, synagogue events, and content planning.
Maintain an organized schedule for High Holy Day preparations, supporting staff and clergy as needed.

Requirements:

Proficiency in graphic design and technology tools such as InDesign, WordPress, Canva, and Constant Contact. Knowledge of ShulCloud is a plus.
Strong organizational, writing, and editing skills.
2-5 years of experience in marketing, communications, or related fields.
Familiarity with Jewish culture and customs is a plus.
