ADL Summer 2025 Internship Description
ADL’s International Affairs team is looking for a dynamic intern to join us from June 9 to August 8, 2025. The ideal candidate will assist the International Affairs team in New York and Washington, DC with its maintenance of databases to track it’s establishing of diplomatic relationships, monitoring of global affairs relevant to ADL’s mission, outreach to the diplomatic corps, and national and international partners, and research, writing, and dissemination tasks.
Application portals will close at 6 PM ET on March 7, 2025. ADL will confirm the selected candidates by mid-April.
Responsibilities
Requirements:
- Must possess high school diploma or equivalent
- Passion for non-profit work
- Desire to start building career within non-profit sector
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the daily tasks of the International Affairs team in New York and Washington, DC, including the monitoring of global news and social media, and preparation of digests and policy memos, and fact-checking.
- Undertake database maintenance to support ongoing projects
- Undertake assigned research and writing tasks to support ongoing projects.
- Assist with event management and updating of contact lists.
- Provide assistance to other members of the International Affairs team.
Qualifications
Skills:
- Commitment to ADL’s global mission
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated research skills
- Good command of office software and social media
- Detail oriented with strong organizational abilities
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
- Comfort working with colleagues remotely
- Candidates who have a working knowledge of an additional language besides English preferred
- Ability to deliver written products required.
- Experience with remote and/or international work preferred.
- Familiarity with issues related to antisemitism and global affairs preferred.
Compensation and Hours:
- This internship is paid $17.50 an hour.
- The internship is 15 hours per week.
Location:
- This internship will be hybrid, with on-site presence required in Washington, D.C.
What will you do during this internship?
- You will learn about real-life decision-making challenges and help us develop real-time solutions.
- You will have the opportunity to present your work at internal forums within ADL.
- You will have practical, hands-on experience with International Affairs programming.
- Collaborate with, meet and learn from ADL subject matter experts at all levels and become familiar with the varied work we do to “stop the defamation of the Jewish people and secure justice and fair treatment to all.”
