Job Summary:
The Campaign Assistant provides support to the Chief Development & Marketing Officer (CDMO), Director of Donor Engagement and Annual Campaign Chair. This position reports to the CDMO and provides administrative support for professional staff in all development-related activities. This position will work to ensure high standards in data integrity and maintain accurate, effective, and accessible records and reports that support Charlotte’s fundraising, prospecting, campaign, and event activities.
Job Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:
- Prepare various correspondences as needed; meticulously proofread content to ensure accuracy.
- Continual data entry of pledges into CRM.
- Update donor information in CRM.
- Maintain data integrity in CRM.
- Produce mailing lists for all donor and community-related mailings, e-blasts, and special events.
- Assist staff with creating and maintaining events in the event module of CRM.
- Assist in planning and execution of campaign events.
- Produce pledge cards for all fundraising events throughout the year.
- Produce pledge and payment acknowledgement letters and postcards.
- Assist with rollover process into new campaign years in CRM.
- Work with Marketing and Development teams to plan and execute direct mail efforts.
- Create and manage database reports.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Proven experience working with enterprise database applications including Customer or Donor Relationship Management (CRM) Software.
- Proven experience and comfort learning new software.
- Ability to partner with cross-department colleagues in a professional and collaborative manner.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to actively listen.
- Detail-oriented, organized, accountable, deadline-driven, and solution focused.
- Effective team player with the ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Well-developed customer services skills exercise poise, tact, and diplomacy, including exceptional telephone etiquette.
- Self-motivated with ability to prioritize multiple demands and meet deadlines.
- Possess a positive attitude and be a proven team player.
- Ability to manage confidential financial and personal information with discretion and sensitivity.
Preferred Education:
Associate’s degree preferred but not required.
Required Work Experience:
1-3 years of administrative-related work experience. CRM experience is a plus.
Other Job-Related Requirements:
- This position requires weekday office hours plus occasional weekends or evenings with the ability to create a limited hybrid work environment.
- This position is based in the greater Charlotte area.
