PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Director, Strategy & Impact will lead strategic initiatives focused on countering antisemitism and extremism, support organization-wide strategic planning, implementation and impact measurement, and foster a culture of evidence-based decision-making and innovation. The Director is results-oriented with experience designing and implementing strategy, generating data-driven insights and actionable recommendations, working cross-functionally, and engaging with senior leaders.
Responsibilities
Primary:
- Lead development and execution of high-priority strategic initiatives to counter antisemitism, extremism and hate.
- Lead effort to enhance impact measurement across ADL, both quantitative and qualitative.
- Analyze and evaluate impact metrics and other data to inform strategy and decision-making.
- Serve as internal consultant and strategic partner to different business units within ADL, providing expertise in strategy design, problem solving and process improvement.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure effective execution of strategic priorities.
- Develop clear, consistent, and compelling communication tailored to various audiences to support strategic alignment and change initiatives.
- Drive innovation and culture of data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications
Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, analytic and communications skills.
- Experience leading design and implementation of strategic initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Experience with social impact measurement and dashboards.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues, anticipate challenges, and devise effective solutions.
- Demonstrated experience working effectively with teams across different departments and disciplines, including senior leaders.
- Ability to set clear goals, prioritize tasks, allocate resources efficiently, and meet deadlines.
- Interest in exploring and leveraging new technologies to enhance efficiency and impact.
- Capable of thriving in fast-paced environment, managing multiple workstreams, adapting to changing circumstances, and navigating ambiguity.
- Team player with willingness to play multiple positions as needed.
- Some knowledge of antisemitism preferred.
Work Experience:
- The ideal candidate has significant years’ experience with demonstrable increases in skill, responsibility and leadership in management consulting, strategy, or related settings.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- Master’s or MBA preferred.
Work Environment:
- ADL is a hybrid environment; this role may require 3 days in the office.
Compensation:
- This position has a salary range of $70,000 to $120,000. Please note that actual salaries are commensurate with experience and reflect the budget for a given position, and since ADL has a location-based compensation structure, there may be a different range for candidates in other locations.
