PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
The Corporate Engagement Officer is a key member of ADL’s fast-paced national development team. Major responsibilities include managing a portfolio of ADL’s six- and seven-figure corporate donors, including solicitation and stewardship, as well as developing and executing ADL’s National Corporate Partners Against Hate program and serving in a strategic leadership role for regional corporate relations fundraising and outreach. The Corporate Engagement Officer also leads and coordinates national corporate sponsorship and event opportunities across the organization.
Responsibilities
Primary:
- In partnership with the Sr. Director, design and implement corporate fundraising goals, strategies and prospect development plans to retain, enhance and expand corporate philanthropic support.
- Research, solicit, cultivate and/or manage a personal portfolio of corporate donors. Partner with programmatic colleagues to ensure project deliverables and reporting requirements are met.
- Provide strategic leadership and support to frontline fundraisers in their corporate engagement efforts.
- Serve as ADL Development liaison for incoming corporate philanthropic inquiries to ensure alignment, timely response and implementation of relationships.
- Oversee national Corporate Partners Against Hate (CPAH) program and develop and effectively implement benefits; lead in crafting Corporate Partners Against Hate policies and best-practices.
- Facilitate agency-wide strategy for securing corporate philanthropic engagement in partnership with frontline fundraising colleagues, regional operations teams, national programmatic team members, and our international colleagues.
- Serve as strategist and liaison between ADL and corporate sponsors for annual Never is Now summit and other national events.
- Represent Development on inter-departmental corporate working groups, as required.
Qualifications
Skills:
- Self-motivated team player with an energetic, flexible, and creative approach.
- Excellent communication and coalition-building skills with an ability to balance, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information to donors, board members.
- Highly organized with the ability to lead in a complex, fast-moving environment; a driving force who manages toward clarity and solutions is essential.
- Experience creating and working with a diverse team, providing strategic direction and delivering results is required.
- Ability to lead and drive results of employees working in remote work situations.
- Sound judgment and sensitivity to highly confidential information.
- Technical competence required. Working familiarity and comfort in database systems, reporting, and analysis.
- Reasonable level of experience using Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and comfort learning and utilizing new technology.
- Creativity, flexibility, and the ability to work with some ambiguity.
- A passion for the mission of ADL.
Work Experience:
- The ideal candidate has significant experience in institutional frontline fundraising with a proven track record of successful corporate partnership development.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
Work Environment:
- ADL is a hybrid environment; this role may require 3 days in the office.
Compensation:
- This position has a salary range of $79,000 to $138,000. This salary range is reflective of a position based in New York, NY. Please note that actual salaries are commensurate with experience and reflect the budget for a given position, and since ADL has a location-based compensation structure, there may be a different range for candidates in other locations.
