PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Associate Director, Strategic Initiatives will support strategic initiatives focused on countering antisemitism and extremism, contribute to organization-wide strategic planning, implementation, and impact measurement, and help promote a culture of evidence-based decision-making and innovation. The Associate Director is results-oriented and a strategic thinker with experience generating data-driven insights and actionable recommendations.
Responsibilities
Primary:
- Support the development and execution of high-priority strategic initiatives to counter antisemitism, extremism, and hate
- Support strategic planning and assist in enhancing impact measurement across ADL, including both qualitative and quantitative metrics
- Conduct research and analysis to produce actionable insights and inform strategic decisions
- Support digital transformation initiatives and contribute to the creation of digital-first approaches to counter antisemitism and extremism
- Assist in the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new technologies and digital tools to enhance efficiency and impact
- Contribute to the development of clear, consistent, and compelling communication materials for various audiences
- Assist in fostering a culture of innovation and data-driven decision-making
- Help manage change and adoption of new digital processes across the organization
Qualifications
Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Proficiency in creating impactful presentations and synthesizing complex information into clear, visually appealing formats
- Robust analytical skills to analyze data and identify trends to inform data-driven decisions
- Ability to troubleshoot issues, anticipate challenges, and devise effective solutions
- Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple workstreams, and adapting to changing circumstances
- Interest in exploring and leveraging new technologies to enhance efficiency and impact
- Team player with willingness to play multiple positions as needed
- Some knowledge of antisemitism preferred
Work Experience:
- Several years’ professional experience in strategy, consulting, or related fields able to demonstrate solid data analysis skills.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
Work Environment:
- ADL is a hybrid environment; this role may require 3 days in the office per week.
Compensation:
- This position has a salary range of $54,000 to $90,000. Please note that actual salaries are commensurate with experience and reflect the budget for a given position, and since ADL has a location-based compensation structure, there may be a different range for candidates in other locations.
