Our client, the oldest Reform synagogue in New York City is seeking an Administrative Assistant.
- This is a long-term temporary position with potential to convert to a perm job.
- The work schedule is Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm (35-hour work week)
- The pay rate range is $30.00 per hour.
Job Description
The ideal Clergy Administrative Assistant will be an energetic, positive professional who brings experience in administrative skills. The Clergy Administrative Assistant will have a vital role in supporting the Rabbi of the temple and additional clergy.
Administrative Duties:
- Schedule appointments and conferences, manage calendar
- Perform basic bookkeeping duties such as managing receipts
- Arrange travel logistics for staff and guests
- Handle emails and written correspondence
- Manage document reproduction and digital records
- Maintain office supplies inventory
- Take notes during meetings, document discussions
- Transcribe and edit meeting memos
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma required.
- Two years of administrative support experience required.
