Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Full-Time Substance Use Counselor in our Peekskill Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic. Be an integral part of our innovative Substance Use and Co-Occurring Disorders Outpatient Program, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of Psychiatrists, Nurses, and Social Workers. This role offers a hybrid work model with 100% outpatient focus, serving older adults, adults, adolescents, and families. You'll receive robust supervision, training, and support to excel in your professional journey.
Compensation: $50,000-$90,000 per year, depending on licensure level ( full and active CASAC plus another valid, active NYS license: Doctoral-level Psychologist, LMHC, LCSW, LMSW) . Bilingual English/Spanish staff are eligible for an additional $5,000/year.
Responsibilities
As a valued member of our team, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Providing treatment in various modalities, including individual, family, and group treatment for clients struggling with substance use disorders, and any co-occurring mental health condition s.
- Completing clinical documentation in a timely manner.
- Collaborating with our team of talented professionals, including Peer Support Specialists/Certified Recovery Peer Advocates, Employment Specialists, Care Managers, Social Workers and LMHCS, CASACs, Psychologists, LPNs, Nurse Practitioners, MDs, and Support Staff.
Requirements
We are seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications
:
- An active NYS CASAC license is required. An ideal candidate would also hold an active NYS license LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, or Clinical Psychology.
- At least two years of work experience caring for individuals with substance use disorders.
- Spanish/English proficiency preferred, not required.
