YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH TEAM LEADER - JEWISH FAMILY SERVICE
POSITION SUMMARY:
Jewish Family Service of Cincinnati is seeking a Team Leader to join our growing Youth Mental Health Services team. The mission of the Youth Mental Health program is to address the unmet mental health needs of youth, teens, and young adults through counseling, coordination of care, and psychoeducational programming.
The position, in collaboration with the Director of Youth Mental Health Services, provides guidance and supervision to Youth Mental Health team members, including clinician and embedded coordinator roles. The Team Leader maintains a small caseload and provides individual psychotherapy services to youth, teens, and young adults within the context of the philosophy and mission of Jewish Family Service and the Youth Mental Health Program. The Team Leader will assist the Director of Youth Mental Health Services to improve internal processes, in alignment with Jewish Family Service policies and procedures, to ensure clients have a positive customer service experience at all times.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develop and nurture mutual relationship, partnership, and confidence with clients, partner organizations, and Youth Mental Health team members.
- Provide high level of quality customer service to clients, their family members, and organizational partners. Encourage team members to provide the same.
- Provide clinical guidance regarding program referrals, intakes, and recommendations for services.
- Provide a range of complex clinical and mental health care coordination services in the community or office to a youth, teen, young adult and family population. Services may include: completing and reviewing intake paperwork, assessments, development of treatment plans, progress note documentation, parent education and coaching, coordination of client and family care, and individual/family counseling.
- Provide clinical review and consultation on Youth Mental Health counseling cases and documentation.
- Collaborate effectively with Jewish Family Service leadership, programs, and the Youth Mental Health team. Communicate concerns, opportunities, and process improvement needs to the Director of Youth Mental Health Services.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to foster collaboration, improve customer service, and support the clinical development of Youth Mental Health team members.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation. Ensure compliance to all agency, local, state, and funder specifications and regulations.
- Utilize electronic client health records/databases, software, and applications relevant to clinical responsibilities.
- Maintain consistent communication with staff and organizational partners to effectively guide, support, and coordinate service delivery.
- Maintain productivity requirements established for role.
- Participate in monthly all agency meetings, weekly team meetings, relevant trainings, local conferences and workshops, as approved by the Director of Youth Mental Health Services.
- Provide internal and external professional communication regarding Youth Mental Health team services.
- Lead team meetings as approved by the Director of Youth Mental Health Services
- Perform other relevant duties, as necessary.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master of Social Work or related field required.
- Must be independently licensed by the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board.
- Must have five years experience providing therapy, care coordination, and programming to a youth, teen, young adult, and family population.
- Must demonstrate leadership, collaboration, problem-solving, and supervision skills.
- Must communicate clearly and precisely.
- Must be proficient with use of a computer, Microsoft Office, and related products.
- May be required to work flexible schedules. Some evening and weekend hours as needed based on community programming needs.
- $27.11-$36.69/HR based on experience and a 37.5 hour work week
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- This position requires walking, standing, and sitting in office and community settings.
- This position requires the use of an insured vehicle.
