About Camp Grossman
Camp Grossman, a JCC Greater Boston day camp, is located in Dover, MA, on 75 acres of the Hale Reservation. Camp Grossman welcomes 1,500 campers and 300 staff each summer. The team is a dynamic group which works to create a wonderful experience for children while assisting them in building confidence and skills. Our alumni can tell you that Camp Grossman summers are an amazingly enjoyable way to develop great skills such as communication, leadership, time management, conflict resolution, and teamwork. Campers engage in dynamic, fun, and educational activities, including arts and crafts, dance, drama, swimming, boating, fishing, sports, challenge courses, and more!
Orientation takes place the week of June 17th and ends with Visiting Day (a pre-camp visit for all campers and families to meet staff) on Sunday, June 23. The regular camp season begins June 24 and ends August 16 (with the option to work the following "9th Week" for additional pay). The camp day runs from 8:15 AM - 4:15 PM, Monday through Friday, with 3 or 4 staff meetings on various Monday afternoons or evenings. Activity specialists also work 2 additional evenings - either running their activity for campers or assisting with a family night or cookout, depending on their position in camp.
