We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Finance and Operations Manager to join our team at Congregation Kol Ami. This role is responsible for managing our financial operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of our facilities and staff, and supporting the Board of Trustees. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, proficiency in financial software, and excellent organizational and leadership skills.

Responsibilities
Financial Management
- Manage all aspects of accounts payable and receivable.
- Develop monthly financial statements/reports as requested.
- Create the annual budget in collaboration with the Treasurer.
- Manage payroll and insurance matters.
Facilities Management
- Oversee vendor contracts for custodial services, security, and A/V support.
- Develop work schedules, negotiate contracts, and provide supervision.
- Schedule regular and unexpected maintenance activities.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for facility rental requests and contracts.
- Serve as an on-call person for synagogue emergencies, such as security alarms.
Synagogue Operations
- Manage the synagogue’s internal calendar.
- Oversee the Membership/Program Manager and Administrative Associate employees.
- Participate in weekly planning conversations with the President(s) and Rabbi.
Skills
- Strong understanding of accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounts payable and receivable, and budgeting.
- Expertise in QuickBooks Online, MS Office, Excel, and Google Suite.
- Familiarity with ShulCloud and Book2Bank (preferred).
