Description:
Women's Philanthropy (WP) is an affinity group within Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia responsible for attracting, engaging and stewarding women philanthropists and leaders. The Director is a dynamic team player and experienced fundraiser with a proven track record for cultivating relationships, building a donor pipeline and soliciting gifts including Lions of Judah ($5,000+) and planned gifts.
The Director thrives on deepening connections, stewarding leadership and creating and implementing engagement opportunities through events, travel missions and leadership cohorts.
Jewish Federation's professional team is mission-driven and committed to helping the Greater Philadelphia community connect with purpose at a time when maintaining those connections is more important than ever before.
Develop long-range strategies for major donors and use Moves Management system to identify, cultivate, solicit, steward, and recognize women in our community.
- Work in partnership with the WP volunteer leadership team to execute a comprehensive engagement and campaign strategy.
- Manage multiple committees including a Women's Philanthropy Board and event and campaign committees.
- Provide education, training, and leadership opportunities through programming, missions, events, volunteer projects, and giving societies.
- Network with other WP Directors and colleagues through the Jewish Federations of North America system to establish best practices and collaborate on programs for the purpose of growing the annual and endowment campaigns.
- Develop outreach programming to targeted groups such as those who are unaffiliated or new to the community. Ensure the appropriate follow up takes place with those who have participated in outreach events.
- Represent WP at community events as requested.
Requirements:
- At least 5-8 years experience preferred, with a strong focus on annual fundraising, donor engagement, customer service, sales or relationship and account management.
- Strong interpersonal skills that enable relationship and partnership building with key lay leaders, donors and professionals at all levels.
- Excellent organizational skills including superb ability to plan, multitask, prioritize, and manage time
- First-hand knowledge of the Jewish community who has a strong sense of Jewish culture and customs.
- Strong event planning experience, excellent writing skills and attention to detail
- Proven experience working with committees and volunteers
- Creative person who is also a visionary and self-starter
- Must be well-versed in Microsoft Office, GMail, Zoom and other technology platforms as required of the job.
- Access to a car or other reliable method of transportation
