The Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey (JFED) seeks a full time
Graphic Designer to join our Marketing & Communications team. We are looking to leverage your background in designing design to develop and promote our mission to the South Jersey Jewish community – and beyond – as well as to our donors, partners, and other stakeholders.
The successful candidate will be experienced in both traditional and digital design including website design. They will be comfortable with technology and learning new software as we grow our department’s tools and marketing finesse. We are seeking a highly motivated, self-starter with a keen eye for detail. The ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot is a must, and you will be comfortable prioritizing and managing multiple projects at the same time while working independently and in a team setting.

Responsibilities
Graphic Design
- Manage the JFED brand across both bring and digital media
- Develop and design both print and digital media, including invitations, flyers, programs, signs and banners, annual report, brochures, direct mail solicitations, newspaper ads, lobby TV screens, etc.
- Manage content on JFED websites as needed; assist with website coding as needed
- Assist with the development of marketing campaigns for JFED events, community outreach and education, and funds development
- Development and manage branding for JFED departments and smaller agencies, such as Aleph Home Care and JCRC
Qualifications

- Deeply committed to the Jewish Federation’s mission and core values
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Able to communicate clearly and concisely with strong written and verbal skills
- Knowledgeable in graphic design fundamentals, including layouts, typography, line composition, and color with a strong eye for design
- Comfortable troubleshooting issues, of both a technical and project-related nature
- Passionate about brand identity and comfortable working within multiple brands
- Able to juggle multiple short-term and long-term responsibilities
Experience
- Experience as a professional or volunteer in the graphic design and/or multimedia communications field.
- Creative multi-tasker with strong attention to detail.
- Experience with graphic design, website management, video editing, and marketing and communications. Funds development and/or copy-editing experience a plus.
- A high level of proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, email marketing software, video editing software, website content management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
