POSITION SUMMARY:
The Jewish Federation is hiring a Talent Management Director who will serve in a community facing role as part of JFC’s Shared Business Services’ (SBS) program. SBS provides professional human resources, talent management, finance and accounting, and risk and insurance services for the Jewish Federation as well as many local Jewish non-profit agencies and synagogues. SBS is a critical, valued business partner of those organizations and through its programs creates organizational capacity and provides subject matter expertise.
The Talent Management Director will play a key role in developing talent strategies deployed across the local Jewish non-profit community. By collaborating with the leaders of our Cincinnati Jewish non-profit organizations (the “Community”) to promote and support programs and processes in our key talent pillars of attraction, retention, development and advancement, this individual will influence and boost Community organizations in fulfilling their missions and meeting their goals by focusing on their most precious resource – people.
The Talent Management Director reports directly to the Managing Director, Shared Business Services. The Talent Management Director supervises one employee, the Talent Management Advisor, and works in close and seamless collaboration with the SBS Human Resources (HR) Director and the SBS HR team.
MORE ABOUT THE ROLE:
Responsibilities: - Partner with agency/synagogue leaders, SBS Human Resources Director, and other key stakeholders to create, align, implement and evolve talent strategies that attract, develop, and retain the best talent for the Jewish non-profit community
- Coordinate and curate training pathways and programs
- Assess and identify the needs of each Community organization and suggest programs each can participate in based on their current talent, strategies, needs, interest, and ability to achieve active and scaled participation in talent management initiatives
- Ensure talent programs and processes are clearly defined, understood and made available to all Community organizations
- Assess synergies that can be realized in centralized programming or talent strategies where possible;
- Tailor and operationalize program and process design to each unique community organization when appropriate
- Analyze and leverage data, tools, and metrics to demonstrate impact of participation in talent initiatives
- Inform organizations of talent best practices that will drive business results and assist in attaining the organizations’ goals and objectives
- Design, implement and maintain talent development programs to foster employee growth and skill enhancement
- Provide consulting to agency/synagogue leadership on succession planning, career pathing and strategizing staffing needs
Qualifications and Skills:
- 10+ years of experience in talent management, engagement, and development
- Bachelors degree in human resources or related field
- Superior communication, interpersonal and strategic thinking skills
- Excellent analytical and influencing skills
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with decision makers in multiple organizations while helping them meet their respective goals and objectives
- Experience designing, developing and supporting talent initiatives covering talent acquisition, retention, development, coaching, succession planning, and relationship management
- Experience in capturing, utilizing, and analyzing metrics and producing impact reports
- Able to work independently as well as in a cooperative and collaborative team setting
