Description
The role of the Event Services Coordinator is to increase outside event and rental business of the Evelyn Rubenstein JCC. This includes marketing, selling, and managing such events. Responsible for the successful execution of events and rentals from the planning stage to completion. This is a 40-hour-a-week full-time position that requires a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and on-call situations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as the main contact for all potential and scheduled rental clients. This includes providing timely and effective communication through email and phone use.
- Utilize JCC marketing and outside sources to promote and market rental opportunities to increase rental revenue.
- Work with facilities and theatre staff to provide necessary space and equipment for executing events.
- Assist the Facilities Coordinator in planning and executing all internal JCC Events.
- Schedule and coordinate birthday party rentals with the proper JCC department.
- Provide event schedules to theater technicians.
- Create rental contracts and obtain payments and necessary insurance documents.
- Troubleshoot and problem solving as issues arise with clients, scheduling, or equipment.
- Develop budgets and manage rental revenue and projections.
- Represent Evelyn Rubenstein JCC in a professional manner and provide excellent customer service.
AGENCY EXPECTATIONS
- Attend all staff meetings and gatherings.
- Participate in agency in-service trainings and programs.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Public Relations or Marketing desired.
- 2+ year’s event and sales management experience preferred.
- Comprehensive understanding of computer/technology and Customer Relationship Management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially excel and word. Familiarity with Salesforce Traction Rec a plus.
- Positive, upbeat, and enthusiastic.
- Extremely organized and detail oriented.
- Ability to problem solve and multitask.
- Desire and ability to engage and work with the public.
- Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and on-call situations.
- Previous A/V experience a plus.
SPECIFICATIONS
- Ability to stand for long periods of time during events.
- Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical incidents and the ability to effectively act in the event of an emergency.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds as well as climb, push, pull carts, move furniture, and set up equipment for events.
