POSITION SUMMARY:
The Data Systems Administrator is responsible for overseeing the management and optimization of multiple databases across the organization. This role provides critical database support to all Federation departments, including Development, Community Planning and Engagement, Jewish Community Relations Council, Marketing, Safe Cincinnati, Operations, and Shared Business Services. The position works closely with end users to assess data access needs, conduct statistical analysis, and gather the necessary data to develop and maintain integrated databases. The Data Systems Administrator plays a vital role in supporting the organization's strategic use of data to drive key initiatives, particularly in donor, prospect, and leadership development efforts.
This role plays a key part in the newly formed Operations Team and the entire organization. The Data Systems Administrator will be responsible for establishing the standard for customer care and managing data projects from inception to completion. One key feature of this position is to be an internal trainer, providing effective instruction and good customer service so all staff in the organization are empowered to use our database to meet their professional responsibilities and the organization’s overall goals. Reports to the Operations Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Manage Data workflow in relation to projects from JFNA and JFC team priorities
- Manage a database transition
- Coordinates with Operations Manager and Department heads to identify upcoming needs
- Assist in the development and maintenance of the Strategic Roadmap for CRM and GE Systems
- Understand business strategy, and provide recommendations for enhancements
- Lead intake and prioritization of backlog items to facilitate sequencing of CRM and GE system requests
- Coordinate issue resolution with leadership related to systems enhancements, testing and other critical issues identified
- Act as JFNA primary contact for the JFNA Data Team
- Collaborating with various departments to organize and present information in a clear and user friendly format for end users
- Facilitate ongoing maintenance and upgrade of the CRM and GE systems
- Take ownership on escalated items and delegate as appropriate to drive resolution
- Lead planning and requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders to define requirements and deliverables
- Act as the central point of contact for issues and problems related to the CRM and GE systems
- Collaborate with Key Stakeholders and CRM super users to ensure data integrity
- Communicate impact of changes due to project deliverables to Key Stakeholders
- Provide tactical system specific training/coaching and feedback
- Provide workflow operational support and oversight of activities of CRM super-users
- Manage Data Workum Intern (when applicable)
- Lead key database initiatives including but not limited to:
- The annual rollover
- The annual Donor Honor Roll
- Direct Mail and Appeal Mailings
- Create and update GE online applications
- Processing of GE online grant applications outside of Cincy Journeys
- When the organization is ready lead the implementation of potential new database systems. (i.e. future transitions from marketing platforms, GE or CRM if applicable)
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of five years of Database Administration experience
- Strong project management skills
- Experience with Power BI dashboard integration is a plus
- Experience with Blackbaud CRM and/or Microsoft Dynamics
- Experience with SQL is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent knowledge of Databases
- Ability to maintain skill level as technology advances
- Bachelor’s Degree in field of study desired
- $70,000 - $75,000 annual salary based on experience
