Position Summary
As an Early Childhood Floater in our toddler through kindergarten programs, you will work alongside experienced Montessori teachers. Your role will involve covering for teachers during breaks and planning periods, sharing responsibilities for general classroom duties—preparing activities with teacher guidance, monitoring lunch and recess, preparing snacks, cleaning up at the end of the day, and ensuring a safe and enriching experience.
We welcome candidates new to early childhood education and are open to teaching you about the Montessori method.

Essential Qualifications
- Highschool Diploma required, Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field a plus
- Experience working with young children
- Meet all ODJFS requirements including background check, fingerprinting and educational minimums
- Obtain and maintain First Aid/CPR certification
- Sit comfortably on the floor with children and on low chairs
- Bend, squat, kneel, move and organize classroom furniture as needed
- Ability to build a genuine rapport with children, families, colleagues, and community members
- Must meet physical requirements of the job including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Team player with strong collaborative and communication skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn, ability to take direction well
